FRAN LUCHENSKI, CAIB
OWNER | BROKER
Fran grew up in Toronto and moved west to Saskatoon with her husband and daughter Kerri in May 1993. They settled in Saskatoon and Fran worked at a trucking company. In June 1994, they had their second daughter Karlee.
In 1997, Fran and Tom had the opportunity to purchase the business from Tom’s parents and decided to jump into the insurance
business. So they packed up and moved to Lucky Lake.
Fran received her CAIB designation in 1997 and Fran and Tom officially took over the business in 1999. They both worked hard at the business and got right into the small town feel. In 2014 they expanded with two other locations, Beechy and Dinsmore, and now have a staff of eight. Both of their daughters are now working in the business.
In Fran’s spare time she enjoys the great outdoors – boating, golfing, quadding, sports, and spending time at the lake. She also enjoys entertaining and cooking.
Terra Boon, CAIB
BROKER
Terra was born and raised in Central Alberta on a purebred Simmental ranch, and moved to the prairies to be with her husband, Eric. She obtained her Bachelors Degree in Sociology at the University of Lethbridge in 2015. Terra, Eric and their kids Rozlyn and Liam, raise Purebred Limousin west of Lucky Lake.
When Terra is not in the office she is spending time with her family, showing cattle, and being active in the community. She worked alongside fellow moms in the establishment of Little Prairie Daycare and was Secretary for 3 years.
Terra is located in the Lucky Lake office and began working at Tom Agencies Ltd. in October of 2016. She feels fortunate to be working for a rural based Insurance Company that embodies true community spirit. Terra recently obtained her CAIB designation.
Amber Buchanan, CAIB
Broker
Amber grew up in Dinsmore and then took Business Administration at SIAST in Moose Jaw. She worked at the local CIBC for 20 years first as a teller and then as a manager before it closed in 2016. She came to work at Tom Agencies in April 2018 and is really enjoying learning the insurance business.
She resides on a farm south of Dinsmore with her husband Chris where they grain farm and raise cattle and have two grown sons that also work on the farm.
Amber recently obtained her CAIB designation. She is happy to still be working in Dinsmore and looks forward to many years in the insurance industry with Tom and Fran.
Kailey Gartner, CAIB
Broker
Kailey grew up in small town Brock, SK. After graduation, she attended Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan where she obtained her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a Management major.
Kailey lives on an acreage west of Lucky Lake with her partner, dogs, cats, and pig. Being a big fan of the outdoors, you can usually find her snowmobiling, snowboarding, camping, or at the lake fishing or riding her Seadoo in her spare time.
Kailey has been working with us since 2019 and obtained her CAIB designation in 2023.
Angela Erickson
Broker
Angela grew up in Beechy. She went to the Saskatoon Business College receiving an Administrative Assistant diploma and started her business career in the mutual fund industry. She went on to work and study at the University of Saskatchewan where she worked for almost 20 years in various departments and graduated from Business Administration.
In 2021, after almost 20 years of “weekend” farming, Angela, her husband Corbin and their two children moved back to the community where they grain farm and raise cattle 17 miles south of Lucky Lake.
Angela joined the Beechy office in May 2023. She is enjoying being back in the community and learning as much as she can about the insurance industry. She has completed the first of four courses towards her CAIB designation.
Karlee Kabatow
Broker
Karlee grew up in Lucky Lake and then moved to Saskatoon and obtained her Practical Nursing Diploma at SIAST in 2014.
She currently resides in Outlook with her husband and two small dogs.
Karlee is located at the Dinsmore office and she looks forward to furthering her education in the insurance industry.
Kerri Luchenski
Accounting
Kerri grew up in Lucky Lake, spending many of her after school hours filing papers in this very office. Once graduated, she moved away from Saskatchewan and pursued a career in the medical field. In 2019, Kerri moved back to Saskatchewan and very shortly after began working at Tom Agencies.
Kerri recently obtained her Business Diploma in Accountancy from SaskPolytech and handles all of the accounting related responsibilities at Tom Agencies. She feels very privileged to work at this family owned brokerage with the best coworkers and small town community.
